Styling Session

Begin your style transformation from the comfort of your own home.

Turn “I have nothing to wear” into multiple stylish new outfits, all created from your very own closet.

HOW IT WORKS

I conduct styling sessions over Google Meet, which has been a fantastic way to connect with my clients wherever they are. Many of them have done a Wardrobe Edit before our appointment (for which I will send you instructions), which really helps me understand their needs and preferences.

I know the personal stylist relationship is truly “personal” in every sense of the word. That’s why your online style session begins with a 30 minutes conversation to get to know the real you. After that, for the remaining of our sessions, I will help you find unique ways to style the pieces you already own and suggest new pieces to complement your regular wardrobe staples. It's like giving your closet a fresh makeover without leaving the house.

It's all about working with your wardrobe and finding new ways you can style your clothes in a way that truly represents you and makes you feel confident every day.

I am so thrilled with the entire experience with you that I don't even know where to begin. I sought out your services because, although my closet was full of clothes, I felt like I had nothing to wear. I used to buy clothes frequently but wore them only a few times, always in the same combinations. Often, I was dissatisfied with myself and how I looked. You helped me discover the STYLE that fits me best, considering my body and personality. I learned so much: what clothes to wear and how to wear them, which colors to choose, how to care for my clothes, how to organize them in the closet, and the importance of accessories. Now I know what suits me, choose accordingly, and feel great in my own skin and clothes! THANK YOU, and I wish for your professionalism and dedication to reach as many ignite ladies as possible.

Alexandra is the friend you didn't know you needed until you met her. She's the friend who shows up to your closet organizing session with well-prepared assignments, tries to understand you, and suggests things that fit you, not a template or "what's in fashion". Just one discussion with her made me much more careful and aware of what I buy so I never get into the "my closet is full but I have nothing to wear" situation again. After a consultation with Alexandra, you find out what suits you and what doesn't, how to choose materials, and colors that flatter you. You can put into words that feeling of "this outfit doesn't look good but I don't know what to do with it". Not to mention a lot of tricks that change how an outfit looks. And about the shopping list collaboration, all I can say is... it's so good that I don't have to think about what to buy, not to be overwhelmed by so many choices and so much marketing. The suggested pieces fit easily into the wardrobe and bring versatility to the items you already have. They're not just bought for the sake of buying; they have a purpose and a place in the wardrobe.

My biggest fear was that it would be a collaboration where she would tell me what to wear to suit her taste, leaving me with spent money and "ugly" clothes (to me) in my closet. My friends told me that's what people in this profession usually do, but I’m glad that wasn't the case. Alexandra is an open-minded person, continuously growing, with well-developed skills in the area of "let's dress in a way that feels true to us and looks great." I really liked her well-structured process. She has the resources and the necessary energy for this. At the beginning, I filled out some forms that were simply about me, which I found really cool. I thought, "Wow, this woman is asking me questions about myself to better advise me on what to wear, how interesting!" Then, we sorted through my current wardrobe, went shopping to fill in what was needed, and voila, it was done. She gave me a list of outfits to wear for five days, and then I created my own outfits which she validated/gave feedback on to help me do even better. Done and done. It sounds easy on paper, but the truth is that I did get frustrated at times, and I’m grateful she was patient with me and let me vent about how hard it was to find shoes. In the end, it was a change, and I admire the gentleness she showed throughout the process. I greatly appreciated that she didn't impose her own style on me but supported and encouraged me to discover what suits me, what makes me feel good, what makes me feel beautiful and confident. She was gentle every time I said the clothes were "ugly" and sought to understand what exactly I didn't like about them because, in her view, they looked great on me. But in the end, I was left with only the clothes I liked. "No" was "no," and she encouraged me to verbalize if/when something wasn't right, for which I thank her. ♥️ For me, the experience was life-changing, and I believe every woman owes herself an experience in this area of personal development, in my opinion.

With Alexandra, I learned how to choose outfits that suit me, shop in a much more organized way, and have a well-defined purpose beforehand. I learned to showcase myself in a tasteful style, with beautiful simplicity and refinement. I have come to appreciate clothes much more than I did before. For the first time, I experienced that feeling of fulfillment, joy, and happiness from wearing outfits that fit me perfectly. After going through all the stages, I am much more confident in my relationship with clothes, and I am glad I allowed myself to listen to my instinct and approach her for a collaboration. Forever grateful for everything I have lived and experienced. I can say that this experience is one of my greatest achievements of 2023!

Just when you think nothing can surprise you anymore, you hear about someone who is really skilled at dressing people, organizing closets, coordinating clothes with accessories, and all those things you read about in magazines. Being curious, I first spoke with Alexandra before my wedding. Obviously, I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted. I just knew it had to be wow! I admit I had reservations, but the result was truly wow - dress, shoes, accessories, makeup, and hair. Everything! And because I received more compliments on my outfit than on getting married, I decided to continue working with Alexandra on both my wardrobe and everyday clothes. She does something that I thought would forever be impossible for me: buying clothes at different times that match everything you have. Amazing, huh? What I appreciate most about the whole process is Alexandra's ability to show you what needs improvement in a very assertive way. She always considered the things I like, which she perfectly combined with pieces I would have never thought to look at. The coolest thing is that from organizing the closet to outfits that would make even the Gossip Girl girls jealous, Alexandra has a solution for everything. And in the end, who wouldn't want a shopping session accompanied by good coffee, a cool person, and engaging conversations, resulting in a few pieces of clothing that fit you perfectly?

What was it like to work with Alexandra? It was the hardest and easiest thing I've ever done. […] I think the "closet" meeting was a turning point for everything that followed. I had a feeling I would part with many of my clothes, and that wasn't necessarily a problem (I still had clothes from my first year of college!), but how would I part with them? I wished for a smooth separation. The problem wasn't showing you the clothes in my closet, as I wore those clothes out on the street, but hearing you say, "this stays, this doesn't!"... how would I handle that situation? But even that fear turned out to be unfounded; it's just that, not knowing you yet, I didn't realize it. I liked that you let me say goodbye to my clothes. I could wear them, and then you explained why some could stay, while others I had to bid farewell to. You asked me why I liked certain clothes, how I paired them, explained what suited me and what didn't. Geometry, proportions, colors, prints, cuts - it was fascinating! It was a whole new world for me! Then came the shopping sessions! I tried on clothes I would never have tried on my own initiative. I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe I was that person :-D. With patience, humor, directness, but NEVER painfully, you taught me to look at clothes and at myself in a different way. I liked that I always had a say, and even though I didn't always have the final say, there was room for negotiation. Whether it was about parting with certain clothes or being willing to try something new, you made everything seem so easy.[…]Gradually, you "befriended" my body, taught me to highlight it. It was a revelation for me to discover that there were so many clothes that fit me well and only needed minimal adjustments to be perfect for me. Now, when I look back, I realize it wasn't about clothes or the comments from those around me about the change happening within me - it was about an adventure, a journey. I departed from what was familiar and comfortable towards a new challenge: me, in a different form. It was a meeting with myself. And I had a great companion! [..] Hand on heart, I believe each of us could benefit from having Alexandra by our side.

The most valuable thing I learned from Alexandra is not just how to dress, but how to make conscious choices that not only flatter my body but also showcase my personality. I appreciated that during our sessions, she didn't focus on highlighting my mistakes but instead concentrated on finding solutions that suited me. Now, I don't go shopping without the color palette specially designed for me by Alexandra, and I no longer make cheap choices or compromise on quality when selecting my outfits. I have fewer clothes, but I've rid myself of the anxiety of 'having nothing to wear'. I recommend the Ignite your style experience to anyone needing a wake-up call regarding their wardrobe and self-esteem.

[…]Alexandra helped me shape a style within the context of my life (fast-paced, little time and interest in such things) and make better decisions regarding my wardrobe. I no longer buy compulsively (and without her agreement and advice - which is addictive), I only buy items that align with what I already have, I no longer waste money on fast fashion, I am much more attentive to my choices, and they have become downright strategic (what goes with what, in what social context, what is the lifespan, etc.). And because she is someone who enters your life more deeply than you might expect (you'll see what I mean), I believe it's important to mention that Alexandra is empathetic, knows how to give feedback without hurting (in what world do we live if that has become a virtue?), and has a fantastic ability to communicate and align with the person in front of her, while still maintaining the firmness needed to express her expertise. As for expertise, I've left it for last because it's the most challenging, and maybe I'm not necessarily the person who can evaluate it. However, from the perspective of a client, I have nothing but compliments and have received nothing but praise from specialists who have seen Alexandra's choices.

For a long time, I had been toying with the idea of seeking out someone for styling, but I didn't even know such services existed in Cluj. I found out about Alexandra Avram (igniteyourstyle) from Alexandra Crăciun, who is a constant source of inspiration for me. I had reached a point where I only wore a pair of jeans, sweatshirts, and a pair of ugly boots, somehow caught in this spiral of 'I have a young child, I don't have time for myself.' Also, being a person who is not slim, I never knew how to dress to look good and always felt sloppy. I called Alexandra for the first time for the 'closet operation', where we were going to make selections of clothes to keep and discard. Honestly, I was expecting some bimbo pretending to 'know about clothes'... but instead, this tall, classy, beautifully dressed lady appeared, warm and nice, with a clear inclination towards beauty, who changed my life :) We started with cleaning out the closet, which was definitely a therapeutic process. Here I learned about cuts, fabrics, what suits me and what doesn't, what to look for when choosing clothes, etc. We continued with shopping sessions and styling, where Alexandra practically dismantled the stereotypes I believed in about what makes me look good or bad. I now wear and carry things I never imagined I would wear again (flats, light-colored clothes, certain cuts, etc.). Additionally, I saved a lot of money because I no longer buy clothes chaotically, and now I have different expectations and standards when it comes to purchasing an item. I'm not exactly sure where I am on the 'learning curve' at the moment, but I feel like I'm in a continuous process of change and adaptation, and now there are truly moments when I feel 'well-dressed' and 'fancy,' and for this, among other things, I owe and thank Alexandra! I can't wait to see what this 'stylistic' journey with her has in store for me next!

I never imagined that in just one day I could replace my wardrobe and buy such varied pieces that I can combine in so many ways. Alexandra helped me see myself differently than before, she helped me discover and appreciate my body. It's been a profound process of transformation and self-discovery that I couldn't have done on my own. The calm and warm guidance in this process of changing and discovering my style (and myself) is so important. Thank you.

I realized during my first meeting with Alexandra that she isn't just about finding the clothes you want to wear; she's interested in uncovering the story you want to convey and the one behind why you dress the way you do now. As a psychologist, this was an especially beautiful experience for me because I realized that many of my clothing experiences weren't so much about how I wanted to dress, but rather tied to the stories and influences from my upbringing—how my mother or grandmother dressed and the messages I've received or sent over time about clothing. It feels like a transformative and therapeutic experience, not only because I discovered my life's story and experiences but also because it was a relief to be able to remove from my closet the things that burdened me, items I liked but felt weren't right for me or didn't belong there. Alexandra, I really wish more people could get to know you, and I hope many will come to you—not just for your styling services but for the experience itself, which is full of emotion, achievements, and awareness of mechanisms that are well-placed but perhaps deserve a little polish or a fresh perspective.
